Create Your First Macro Button in Excel

Before following the procedure of this tutorial make sure you have enabled the Excel’s Developer Tab.

Following are the procedure step-by-step to enable the Macro Creation for your very first Excel Macro Button.

STEP 1: firstly you need to select the Customize the Ribbon option just after right-clicking anywhere on your Ribbon.

STEP 2: Ensure to select the Customize Ribbon before selecting the Developer option under the Main Tabs.

STEP 3: Now after second step go to

Developer > Insert > ActiveX Controls > Button

Here to create your first Button drag anywhere in that Excel spreadsheet.

STEP 4: just after creating your new button right click on it and select View Code.

So now you have to type in this code: 

Range(“A2”).Value = “This is Awesome Feature”  

This code will help to set the value of cell A2 to This is Awesome Feature.

STEP 5: At last now it’s time to test it so for that ensure to deselect the Design Mode.
