When you have a bunch of dates and all you need is to get the month out of it, here’s what you can do:

As you can see in the image above, we have a couple of dates😂LOL!!! And we need to find the month in the same.

You must be thinking 💬 for what’s the use of separating the month from the date, you can easily notice the same in the date itself, but the thing is, when you are dealing with thousands of data entries and all you require is the data related to the month, the MONTH Function enters the game like a pro😎.

The first thing to do is to input the MONTH Function, i.e. as follows:

=MONTH(

The following formula requires the serial number or in other words the date (I don’t know why but date, LOL😂!).

As we need to select the date😂 / serial number, we will select the same. In the case above, it is cell B2.

Now all you have to do is hit the enter and as your answer pops on the screen, drag down the formula till its needed.
