Excel footer status shows various valuable statistics of your data in your worksheet that you may not know about. In this section, I will let you know how to customize Excel Footer status for your daily excel needs.
Here we have the following demo data which have 6 columns including ID, first name, Last name, Join date, Gender and their sales data;
Excel footer status will be show below it as follows;
Now, When you click on sales data column, you can see some status which is being shown in excel footer bar;
Here you can see default status value of “Count” and “Numerical Count”. Count includes all values in that particular column you have selected i.e. Sales which included its header itself and Numerical Count as name suggests tells you the number of numerical values in the same.
Suppose, you want to analyze all the sales data by;
Minimum and Maximum Sales Number
Here you can find the minimum and maximum amount of sales incurred by your employees just right-clicking on the same excel footer bar and select minimum for lowest amount of sale and maximum for the highest record number by your employee.
Here you can see minimum amount of sale is 104.92 and highest recorded is 998.4 in your excel footer bar.
Average of Sales
Suppose you want to calculate average of all sales values you have selected in your excel footer bar you can do the same by right-clicking on it and select average.
now we get the average of selected value i.e. 547.9456 in our footer;
Sum of All Sales
Now i assume you have got what I’m trying to convey until this step, similarly, if you want to calculate sum of all selected sales values, you can do the same as before;
Other Important Statistics
Excel footer statistics are not limited to only sum, average, max or minimum variables but you can also analyze other important statistics listed when you right click on it as follows;
Here, you can see the list of status you can customize according to your need, but we may not need all of them so you can unselect the ones you don’t need and select which is suitable for you and your daily excel need.
