At times we require our data to be in the format of month & year and not in the format of the actual date.

So, to convert a date into the format of mmyyyy i.e. month and year, here’s what we do:

Now, all we have to do is input the formula:

The following formula requires two things, first is the value.

So, in the above case cell B3 is our value.

Second is the format text, i.e. the format we want to follow or the format in which we want to convert our format into.

So that is “mmyyyy” i.e. month and year.

*Do not forget to use quotation mark.

Now all you have to do is press “enter”.
